Week 5

I finally completed my Partner School presentation for the College Tour. I have remained in contact with the Film and Video Studies Department and they all seem really excited for our arrival!

Our final presentation should be about an hour long. Along with the categories I posted earlier, I will screen the Visions 5 trailer as well as a Film Block of 4 previous contenders. Our Narrative screening will be Peter and the Paper Wolves (winner of Visions 3) [we are working on getting a digital copy of Incest: The Musical but we have been unlucky], our Documentary screening will be Cosplay: Behind the Con (Visions 5), our Experimental screening will be Synapse (Visions 1), and our Animation screening will be Vow (winner of Visions 3).

On Monday, I emailed Heather Bailey, whose class we are presenting in, with an announcement she can forward to other students who may be interested in attending our presentation.

On Saturday, I went with Anthony to get the previous 5 Visions t-shirts for the group to wear during our presentation. We also gathered give-aways, such as V5 swag bag, shirt, and sticker,  for our Q&A.

I schedule a meeting with Michelle, Zoe, Simone, and Kevin to discuss final details for our College Tour trip for Monday night at 8pm. Everyone seems excited to go, which is great! I'm getting a little nervous to present, but I did have good practice last week when I guest-lectured for Dr. Sue's Disney course.

In regards to printing, I emailed Evonne on Tuesday for 3 optional programming quotes. One all black & white, one with a colored center fold, and one in all color. I have not heard from her yet, but I will re-email her Monday if I do not get another response.

This coming Monday, Zoe, Michelle, and I planned to meet with Evonne in person to discuss options for a banner for the Film Studies archival spot in front of the King Hall theater.

Also, I edited my Animation Bumper to improve the speed of the mallet on Tuesday night. I am glad everyone seems to like my animation and I look forward to creating an additional one in March!
