On Monday, I finally received Program quotes from Evonne. Option #1 (All Black&White interior) would cost $698.49 for 400 copies. Option #2 (a 4 page Colored Center Spread, the rest Black&White) would cost $914.29 for 400 copies. Option #3 (All Color interior) would cost $1,364.28 for 400 copies. Our current budget is $800 for the programs, so Michelle and I are going to see if Evonne can work within our budget for the Colored Center Spread.
On Wednesday, I received Banner quotes. They were quite pricy and a little bit outside our budget. For a 36" X 64" banner, its would cost $66.60. Zoe is going to review her options and decide sometime next week.
On Thursday, I received quotes for the 11X17 Event Posters and the Marquee Poster. The 11X17 Event Posters would cost $110 for 100 copies, $135 for 150 copies, and $190 for 200 copies. Our current budget for the 11X17 Posters is $150. However, the total amount requested by each department is 155. The Mailing quote also has to be put into consideration. However, the Marquee Poster cost increased from last year's $25 per poster. Evonne quoted 2 V6 Marquee Posters (28X44) to be $56.92 ($28.46 each). Our current budget is $50, but I'm sure we can ask Evonne to work within our price range.
The College Tour to George Mason University was an extraordinary experience! I was very nervous to see how the event would go, but our presentation and our meeting with the DKA fraternity seemed to get more students interested in attending Visions. Our presentation in the FAVS 100 course really excited its students. Several people asked questions and even came to talk to us personally afterwards about the event. I gave away several business cards and a handful have already been in contact with us. A few students are even curious about attending Visions to volunteer. I believe our networking enthused a large amount of students and I hope that several decide to attend come April.
