This week, Adrienne has decided that her and Shannon's departments should combine for our weekly meetings. I think the combination of these two groups will be very beneficial because I believe Development/Fundraising and Hospitality work closely and will lead to more productive brainstorming. Our first combined departmental meeting is scheduled for this upcoming Thursday.
I began researching the responsibilities of an Outreach and Tour Coordinator more in depth. I now know that I must expand upon an already existing database of partners, which searching and networking with a partner school will be a large part of my job this semester. Also, the tour and Film Kid mixer will be main focuses. This position will push me to improve my organization and networking/communications skills even more. Although it was just sent last night, I briefly reviewed the departmental manual for hospitality. I will read it more thoroughly later.
